History of MASSELINK BROTHERS

MASSELINK BROTHERS TRUCKING SERVICE, INC. is now in its second generation of ownership.  The company opened for business in 1946 with a single straight truck.  Since then the company has grown and evolved into a leader in the Intermodal transportation of Steamship containers.

In the 1950's we began our affiliation with the rail industry with our distribution of "less than carload" traffic.  Next came "Piggyback Service" in the 1960's with a local Piggyback ramp here in Grand Rapids, MI.

Because of the Piggyback facility it was a natural that the Steamship Lines began to store equipment in Grand Rapids MI to be close to their customer.  Because of the pooling option both Importers and Exporters have saved many dollars in equipment repositioning costs.

Because of our current affiliation with WEST MICHIGAN CONSOLIDATORS, which began in the 1970's we can offer "door to pier" services as well.

A lot has changed since 1946, but one thing has remained the same Our commitment to high quality service for each and every customer.
